The Block BC-10 is located in the Campos Basin, approximately 120 kms southwest from the city of Vitoria off the coast of Brazil. Water depths in BC-10 range from 1400 meters on the west side of the block to 2100 meters on the east side.

Total six discoveries were made in the block, which resulted in four development areas: Ostra, Argonauta, Abalone and Nautilus.

ONGC Videsh Ltd. acquired 15% participating interest in April 2006. The other partners are Shell with 50 % as PI and Operator & Petrobras with 35 %. PI

DEVELOPMENT PLAN
The project has entered the development phase after the completion of front-end engineering design phase, wherein a high-level development concept has been selected, which includes an FPSO and sub-sea systems to produce the discoveries in the block.

Phase I  (2006-2009)           :           Ostra, Abalone, Argonauta B West.
Phase II (2009-2013)            :           Argonauta O North

The first oil is scheduled by mid June 2009.
