The Nam Con Son gas project – Vietnam’s biggest foreign investment- celebrated three major accomplishments on 26th August 2004 as it achieved 2 billion cubic metres of gas production and sales, 2 years without a days-away-from-work case (DAFWC) and 2 million hours worked safely. ONGC Videsh Ltd. along with Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation (Petro Vietnam) and the UK's British Petroleum are partners in the Block 06.1 Project.
The milestone of supplying two billion cubic meters of gas to fuel Vietnam’s energy needs was reached on 6th July after 18 months in operation. During this period, the project achieved outstanding reliability, meeting 100 per cent of our customer’s gas nominations. The project’s performance has contributed enormously to Vietnam’s economic development.
