Director (F) And Director, ONGC Nile Ganga B.V. Visit The Heglig Base Camp, GNPOC, Sudan, New Delhi

Director (Finance) Mr. R S Butola and Director, ONGC Nile Ganga B.V., Mr.V Ravindranath visited the heart of GNPOC activities at the Heglig Base Camp, 750 kms south of Khartoum, from 27th to 29th June 2003.
Various areas, ranging from Exploration Drilling, Production facilities, Chemistry Labs, Warehouse to Pump Station #1, where the 1500 km, 28” pipeline goes underground, were covered during this visit. The Directors were also enly interested in the technical as Well as the financial details.

Among the highlights of the visit were the one to one meeting with the Minister Of Energy and Mining, Sudan, His Excellency Dr. Awad Ahmed Al Jaz at Heglig Base Camp, the visit to the Heglig Hospital and a 2 ½ hour marathon presentation till midnight by Senior Business Analyst, GNPOC, Mr. T.K.Sengupta on the present activities and future plans of GNPOC.

Braving the scorching desert sun, rains and mud, they walked through the whole upstream petroleum cycle and appreciated the efforts of the GNPOC officers and workers in keeping the oil production rate above the target. |
