|ONGC Videsh pavilion evokes interest at Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition|

OVL put up an aesthetically appealing Pavilion at the 14th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition which commenced at Baku, Azerbaijan on June 5, 2007. The exhibition was inaugurated by HE Mr. Llham Aliyev, the President of Azerbaijan.
Besides showcasing the technological and operational strengths of OVL, the exhibition effectively communicated the strengths and successes of the company and highlighted the potential of mutual business. Going around the exhibition, after the inauguration, the President showed keen interest in the operational expanse of OVL. He said that he would be happy to see the participation of OVL in Caspian Sea and shall be happy to see Azerbaijan as a country prominently figuring in OVL’s global participation map.
The Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan, HE Mr. B R Muthu Kumar was also present at the OVL pavilion during the visit of Azerbaijan President.

The Corporate pavilion‚ designed and fabricated by an Indian agency evoked lot of curiosity. The common visitors were very interested to know more about E&P business of OVL as well as about Taj Mahal and Bollywood!
Baku, which was part of the ancient ‘Silk Route’, is today known more for its oil production. It may be interesting to know that prior to World War I, Baku alone used to produce half of world’s oil.
Major E&P companies of the world like BP, Lukeoil, Statoil, Total etc., have also participated in the exhibition.
