ONGC Pavilion at ‘Enterprise India – Advantage Sudan’, the first ever exclusive exhibition of Indian products and technologies in Sudan was inaugurated on 22nd August, 2006.
The flagstaffs of India and Sudan with tri-coloured ribbons and lighting of the ceremonial lamp formally inaugurated the five-day exhibition. Seven ministers and other dignitaries attended the inaugural function, the highest representation ever at any exhibition inaugural in the history of Sudan. 78 Indian companies are participating in the exhibition.

The ministers showed keen interest in the stall. The range of ONGC activities in India and abroad especially Sudan was explained to them by the Country Manager Mr. Ashok Varma.
The ONGC Pavilion, which is a blend of Indian and Sudanese architecture, is attracting a lot of visitors. The bead curtains at the pavilion have added a touch of glamour to the pavilion and they visibly fascinate the visitors.

The exhibition, held at the Khartoum International Fair Grounds, is the initiative of the Embassy of India in Sudan and is being coordinated by ASSOCHAM.
In tune with the theme ‘Enterprise India- Advantage Sudan’, the exhibits at the pavilion showcase ONGC’s reach to the different corners of the world, its technical expertise and its initiatives in Community Development in Sudan.
“Very beautiful” is an expression that is heard very often from visitors at the ONGC Pavilion.
Prof. George Bureng V. Nyombe, Federal Minister of Foreign Trade lighted the lamp at the pavilion and Mr. Zahawi Ibrahim Malik, Federal Minister of Information & Communications cut the ribbon at the stall. H E. Mr. Deepak Vohra, Ambassador of India in Sudan and Mr. Ashok Varma, Country Manager, ONGBV were also present on the occasion.
